October 15th. Tax extensions automatically grant you an additional six months to prepare and file your personal income tax returns. Tax extensions are NOT an extension of time to pay but an extension of time to file.
Can I email or fax in all of my tax information for preparation?
YES, most definitely. All tax return paperwork can be faxed or emailed in for preparation.

Can you fax or email copies of prior year tax returns to my mortgage lender?
Copies of tax returns are retained for several years and can most definitely be sent to mortgage lenders upon request. There is an additional fee for fax or paper copies.

Do I have to have a mileage log to claim unreimbursed mileage?
The IRS requires substantiation of all mileage claims. It is a good idea to have your mileage as best documented as possible.
Do I have to have a receipt to claim charity expenses?

What is the standard cash charity deduction?
There isn’t a “per say” standard charity deduction. Your actual charity contributions should all be receipted and totaled for your eligible deduction.
How long do I have to file an amended tax return?
You generally have three years from the original due date of the return.
Isn’t medical only deductible over a certain percentage?
Medical Expenses are deductible over 10% of your adjusted gross income (7.5% if you are over age 65) on the Federal level and are deductible without a threshold on the AZ State level.
